Prior to that his career included terms as Chair of the Department of Philosophy, Dean of Faculty, and Vice-President (Academic & Research) at St. Thomas University in Fredericton. Within 100 days of starting at Huron, and following more than 250 one-on-one conversations with faculty, staff, alumni, students, community leaders and donors, Dr. Craig announced a new vision for Huron which sets an exciting course for future growth and will distinguish Huron from other Canadian universities. Dr. Craig holds a BA from the University of Kings College, an MA from Dalhousie University, and a PhD from the University of Wales. Dr. Craig has extensive experience in curriculum, program and policy development and has published several books in fields as diverse as political philosophy and literary studies. He was co-chair of the Congress for the Humanities and Social Sciences in 2011, has served on numerous government commissions and task forces, and is the recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubliee Medal.
