HUDS to stage Company, first full-scale musical January 23, 2017 "Phone rings, door chimes, in comes company!" The Huron Underground Dramatic Society (HUDS) is a student-run drama club at Huron College that stages a wide variety of theatre, ranging from small-scale sketch comedy to large-scale musical reviews. For more than 20 years, HUDS has stood at the forefront of Huron's live entertainment scene and aims to provide a creative outlet and positive atmosphere for all undergraduate students, while staging live theatre for the greater Huron community. This February, HUDS will be staging Huron's first full musical: Company a musical comedy by George Furth, with music and lyrics by Steven Sondheim. Company explores the unique aspects of relationships and marriage in a contemporary setting. The scenes are set in the apartments of various upper-middle class couples living in the heart of Manhattan. "HUDS will take a unique approach to the show by staging it in a more casual, intimate setting, in order to give the audience an immersive theatrical experience," says Sean Yauk, HUDS Producer. HUDS will present Company February 2, 3, and 4 in The SAC. Tickets are currenly on sale at a cost of $5 for students and $10 for non-students. All are welcome...because life's better with company!
