Student Visas:

International students must apply well in advance (3-6 months) as obtaining a student visa may take as long as 6 months in some countries.

Applicants planning to study in Canada for longer than six months must obtain a Canadian visa. Applicants should contact the Canadian embassy or consulate in your home country immediately upon acceptance to Huron University College. For general information on Canadian visas, visit the government website of Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The Student VISA Fee is $125 and applicable to students who stay here longer than 6 months.

Even if you do not need a study permit, it is a good idea to apply for a permit before you come to Canada. If you decide that you want to continue your studies in another program after you complete your short-term course or program, you must apply through a Canadian visa office outside Canada for a study permit if you do not already have one.
Even if you do not need a study VISA, it is recommended that you bring a copy of the admission letter provided to you by the exchange office to have as supporting documentation at the port of entry.
