VON Dining Volunteer
We are looking for reliable and dependable individuals who are able to cook and serve typical Canadian breakfast and lunches to our senior and disabled clients. Having a vehicle is considered an asset, and we will provide appropriate training.
As a Dining volunteer you may be asked to grocery shop, stick to a budget and help plan the menu. Volunteers will be reimbursed for any grocery shopping they do for the program. We want you to take an interest in our clients and get to know them, and assist with set up and cleanup.
Locations where we need help:
- 202 McNay St, every Wednesday from 9-11am to cook and serve breakfast
- 202 McNay St, every Mondays from 11:30-12:30pm to cook and serve lunch
- 1194 Commissioners Rd W, every Monday from 8:15-10:15am to prepare and serve breakfast
- 30 Baseline Rd N, every Friday from 11:30-1:30pm to prepare and serve lunch
Every new volunteer must provide two personal references (not family), have a police and vulnerable sector check and attend orientation and training.
