Summer Orientation & Academic Registration for New Students


I've accepted my offer - what's next?

Online registration for the Summer Orientation & Academic Registration (SOAR) Sessions will begin in May.  These sessions take place on campus and are designed for you to be able to select your courses for September, tour campus, and acquaint yourself with faculty, staff, and current students.
 

REGISTRATION GUIDE


     

Students can register for their preferred half-day SOAR Session by clicking on the date and time below.

*Please register for the session with the same email address you used to apply to Huron through OUAC*

Morning sessions run 10:00am-1:00pm with optional campus tour beforehand beginning at 9am
Afternoon session run 12:00pm-3:00pm with optional campus tour following at 3pm

Parents are welcome to attend with the student as we hold a session specifically for them whilst the students register for their courses.
Additional details and reminders will be emailed to the student once the SOAR registration form is submitted.

To Prepare Before Your Session

We strongly encourage you to come prepared with a drafted schedule based on the materials in the Registration Guide. Students who bring a print-out of their “Draft My Schedule” will be able to progress quickly through the day.

If you have not accepted your offer, please go to Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC)  and select "Undergraduate Applications" in the navigation bar on the left.  Follow the step-by-step instructions on the website. Once you have accepted your offer to Huron on OUAC you can register for a SOAR Session.
